While you play Palworld, you will come across towers with bosses in them. The second tower boss we recommend removing is Lily and Lyleena duo found in an icy area north of the starting plateau.
As you’d expect, these tower bosses are the closest Palworld has to do with Pokémon gyms, although they are very different. Inside there is a timed boss battle against a friend and his trainer.
Defeating the duo will reward you with an achievement and five Ancient Technology Points, which you can use to learn recipes from the very useful purple column. You also get access to the top of the tower, which serves as a nice high spot to slide from.
Below we explain how to beat Lily and Lyleen in Palworld. Please note that we have done all of this solo on normalso it may differ depending on whether you use it in multiplayer or on another difficulty setting.
How to prepare for the Tower of the Free Pal Alliance in Palworld
To be honest, we were so busy building, leveling and exploring that we forgot about the towers until we got to level 30. By then we went in and immediately brought Lily and Lyleen into the room, so it seemed like we were massively overleveled. Oops!
That said, based on the levels of the Pals around the Free Pal Alliance Tower, you can probably clear Lily and Lyleen at around level 25as long as you have type advantages and a strategy.
Lily and Lyleen have about 69,000 HP and Lyleen is a Grass type, so bring that fire-like movements to take it down very easily. Note that Lyleen has Water-type moves, so we recommend bringing friends who are not Fire-type, but are Fire-type.
You should also have the highest armor you can build (metal armor), as well as the best weapons you can have (a musket or pistol).
Tower of the Free Pal Alliance location in Palworld
The Free Pal Alliance Tower is located north of the original starting area and north of the first tower. It’s located in a small snowy area, so make sure you have cold-resistant gear to get there.

How to beat Lily and Lyleen in Palworld
If you’ve been prepared by following the suggestions above and you’re still struggling, we’ve got quite a few tips on how to survive:
- If Lyleen fires water bubbles at your friend, pull them back. Make sure your friends aren’t affected by damage they can easily avoid. Once the water bubble(s) disappear, send the Friend back outside.
- When Lyleen fires the unique water bubble at you, hide behind a pillar. Her multiple bubble shot can go through and around pillars, but the massive bubble attack cannot.
The tips below are the same tips we recommend for every boss – including Zoe and Grizzbolt – but here they are if you need them:
- Keep dodging and rolling away from Lyleen’s attacks.
- Alternate with your friends if they have low HP. You don’t want them to get taken out in battle. When they feel good again, they will slowly recover HP.
- Keep firing your weapons to help with damage. Headshots from the front cause additional damage.
- Refocus your friends regularly by calling them back and sending them back. Sometimes Lyleen or your friends get stuck behind pillars, so they shoot projectile attacks that are blocked. This is a huge waste of time, so don’t be shy about calling your friend back and reorienting him so he has clear shots of Lyleen.
After all that, you should be able to take out Lily and Lyleen without too much trouble. If you’re still struggling, you might want to go out and catch more friends to level up a bit more and make the fight easier.
