How the build-up to the boxing show headlined by KSI and Logan Paul descended into CHAOS: Restraining orders issued, CCTV footage dug up to embarrass Tommy Fury… and tasteless jabs made about late family members

Manchester’s AO Arena will be the setting for a night of boxing next weekend, which sees some of YouTube’s biggest crossovers step back into the squared circle.

The lineup for ‘X Series 10 – The Prime Card’ is headlined by the double main event of YouTube giants KSI and Logan Paul.

First, KSI will meet former Love Island star Tommy Fury, who is fresh off a win over another social media star in Jake Paul, while Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, goes toe-to-toe with MMA fighter Dillon Danis. tone will go in a meeting that went beyond personal in the build-up.

In fact, the chaos that has ensured in the run-up to both fights has eclipsed levels previously seen among these crusades and anticipation for the event has now reached new heights.

Here’s a breakdown of the shenanigans the fighters have been up to as we head into October 14’s big event.

The pre-fight promotion between Logan Paul and Dillion Danis has heated up to the point where Paul’s fiancee, Nina Agdal, is reportedly trying to sue the MMA fighter and filed a restraining order against him.

The two fighters traded bitter blows on social media, with Danis repeatedly using Agdal as a way to get at his opponent.

However, it hit a notch last month when he shockingly posted an X-rated video of his rival’s fiancee discussing her sexual urges online.

The post led to the model saying she was humiliated and in emotional distress as the post could damage her reputation.

The attack led to Agdal filing a lawsuit against Danis, claiming that her fiance’s opponent has posted “despicable” things about her more than 250 times since the fight between the two was announced.

Danis eventually agreed to remove the post when the organizers of his fight threatened to cancel the showdown unless he deleted it.

Danis posted on X (formerly Twitter): ‘Nina Adgel filed a massive lawsuit against me. She filed a restraining order against me and is demanding jail time, so the fight is in jeopardy if I’m in jail. It’s actually wild, but I won’t stop f***ing the system to get me. Logan Paul is a dead man walking.

“I will provide more details when I can, but because this is a federal matter, I cannot at the moment. PS f*** that h*e… Nina Agdal will be called Karen Agdal until further notice.’

Paul brings up the death of Danis’ father

Logan Paul also sank to new depths during the build up to the Misfits event by mentioning the death of Dillon Danis’ father.

The two came face-to-face during a press conference, where Paul sank to a new low by bringing up Danis’ father’s death and his recent battle with alcohol.

He said: ‘Your life has been going downhill since you got kicked out of Marcelo’s gym. You turned to alcohol to try to drown it all out, your father passed away, you lost friends.’

It saw the MMA fighter hit back at the WWE star by hitting out at Paul for bringing up his recent grief and issues.

“Talk about it, see what happens, you say you’re not a crook and talk about my father’s death,” Danis said.

After their fight this weekend, the two also shook hands for an MMA match against each other.

Not to be outdone in the dominating game, KSI spent much of the build-up to his fight with Tommy Fury trolling the professional boxer on social media.

His latest wind-up came in the form of digging up some old CCTV footage of a man he identifies as Fury in an amusing exchange.

In the video, believed to be from 2020, it shows the man and two girls talking together in a room.

an older man soon joins them, and it’s not long before the younger male – said to be Fury – gets irritated and takes off his shirt to start something like a fight.

The situation is defused when several people get involved and hold the younger man back, but that didn’t stop KSI from tweeting the video with the caption ‘What happened after you took your shirt off?’ and aimed it at Fury.

Danis has a target on his back

There is also some outstanding beef between Dillion Danis and another fighter on the card next weekend, Anthony Taylor.

Taylor will fight King Kenny on the undercard in Manchester, but may have to look after Danis backstage after Taylor’s blowout last year.

The pair were involved in a parking lot fight after the Misfits Boxing x DAZN Series 003 weigh-in last November, in which Taylor hit Danis with a right hand to the face.

He later explained that the reason behind the fighting and punching was to prevent Danis from being a bully to both competitors and the reporters at the events.

No salt for salt

Another undercard bout at the Misfits Boxing event will see Salt Papi take on Slim Albahar in a five-round middleweight clash.

Papi’s preparation for the fight let him down and was complimented with his loss in a recent interaction with the main event KSI.

‘Yo, congrats on the weight loss bro!… I can tell bro, you look sharp. Nice!’ Is what KSI told the YouTuber at a recent promotional event for the fights.
