How OnlyFans pushes women to undergo insane and dangerous surgeries

There’s no denying that more people are turning to social media to make money – with the rise of not only the influencer, but also the adult site OnlyFans.

As this market becomes increasingly saturated, more people are looking for a point of difference to stand out from the crowd – some are turning to extreme plastic surgery procedures to give them bigger breasts, lips and even vaginas.

One model from OnlyFans who has made headlines for her improvements is Mary Magdalene.

The Mexican-born influencer reportedly became so addicted to cosmetic procedures that she had to beg fans to help her buy a mobility scooter, as her body was breaking down under the weight of her implants.

Mary, who boasts 10kg breast implants and ‘the world’s thickest vagina’, could be confined to a wheelchair for life as her ankles and back struggle to support her surgically altered body.

Sometimes things can take an even more tragic turn, as was the case of Kim Kardashian lookalike Christina Ashten Gourkani, a 34-year-old model who visited Ashten G online, who died of cardiac arrest following plastic surgery.

dr. David Schaffera New York-based double-board-certified plastic surgeon, told DailyMail.com that he saw people “definitely pushing the boundaries” when it came to cosmetic procedures.

Having overly exaggerated features definitely grabs social media attention. Filters don’t help the situation because they blur the line between reality and fantasy,” says Dr. David, owner and founder of Shafer Clinic Fth Avenuesaid.

‘People are certainly pushing boundaries, but the responsibility of the plastic surgeon is important here. Sometimes, and more often than you might think, we have to say no to patients.’

He said some of the most common procedures his patients requested were breast and butt augmentations, including the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

Dr. David said breast augmentation is a great procedure to “give people confidence they didn’t have before,” but added, “Too much of anything is never good.”

He also warned people about the dangers of exaggerating.

Breast Implants

The New York plastic surgeon said, “If the implants are too big or too heavy, they can stretch the skin, causing ptosis, or sagging breasts.”

“If the implants are placed too close together, the patient may end up with a “uniboob,” or one pocket with both implants in it. If the skin is stretched too thin, the implants can even extrude out of the pocket or come loose.”

Butt improvements

Placing too much fat in too small an area can cause the fat to die off and form cysts or nodules.

‘Patients can get asymmetry. If illegal substances are injected into the buttocks, such as silicone, there can be an infection, migration of the filler and deformities that are impossible to treat,” added Dr. David to it.

fillers

A modest amount for lip and cheek fillers gives people a “beautiful and natural look,” said Dr. David.

However, too much filler can lead to disfigurement and an unnatural appearance,” he added.

‘The hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm can be melted to remove them. However, other fillers and silicones are very difficult or impossible to correct. If fillers are accidentally injected into a blood vessel, it can lead to skin necrosis or a scab over the area.”

“If the implants are too big or too heavy, they can stretch or push the skin, and then the patient will eventually need more surgeries to replace the implants and remove the stretched skin,” he told DailyMail.com.

As for the BBL, he said it was a more difficult procedure to perform on “very thin people” because they had less fat to work with.

“The most common procedure is a surgical BBL with liposuction to harvest the fat and then inject the fat into their buttocks to lift and plump up,” explains Dr. David out.

“The amount of fat and improvement depends on the patient’s anatomy — it’s very easy to make a curvy person more curvy because they have enough fat to move.”

In the case of a more petite person, Dr. David that patients can be injected with dermal fillers, “such as Juvederm Voluma, Sculptra or Radiesse.”

“However, this can sometimes be prohibitively expensive as it takes many syringes to have a noticeable effect,” he said.

“Other anatomical areas that people want to improve are their lips, cheeks and jawline. But the same rule applies, because a little is good and more is not necessarily better.’

Despite most surgeries being successful and a “very high satisfaction rate” among patients, Dr. David reminds people: ‘There are real risks with any operation.

As surgeons, we are constantly analyzing, discussing and evaluating ways to make procedures safer and improve the patient experience.

‘Certainly when the boundaries are pushed or patients are not good candidates or multiple revision surgeries are required, the risks can increase dramatically.

“That’s why it’s paramount to see an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who is operating in an accredited institution.”

He also warned people not to travel abroad to have surgery “at a cheaper rate,” describing the practice as “dangerous.”

‘TThe credentials of the surgeon and facilities are uncertain, the standards of the facility and recovery centers are questionable, and aftercare is very difficult,” said Dr. David.

“I often see patients who have gone to other countries for surgery and then end up in my office looking for revisions or wound care after a surgical mishap.”

And what is the most dangerous plastic surgery procedure of all?

“Statistically, the BBL procedure has the highest complication rate… There are new protocols and restrictions to help reduce complications,” said Dr. David.

Breast implant surgery also has a higher revision rate than other surgeries. Most revisions are due to patient preference, but sometimes also due to capsular contracture, asymmetry or hanging implants or overlying breast tissue.’

To reduce the risk of complications, Dr. David dissuades people from being “wooed” by “Instagram-famous” doctors who may have “good social media skills but little surgical experience.”

If it seems too good to be true, there’s probably something you don’t understand,” said the plastic surgeon.

“Be sure to meet with your doctor to discuss your goals and risks and benefits of surgery. Also make sure you understand the required recovery as most surgeries require specific recovery plans.”

Dr. David also explained the precautions he takes to make sure a procedure doesn’t go too far.

“We have general guidelines for what is acceptable. For breast surgery, I use VECTRA 3D computer analysis which uses 3D computer technology to analyze the patient’s anatomy to determine which size implants work best,” he explains.

‘We then give the patient a range of options. The technology also allows the patient to see their results on their own 3D image, which is very useful.

“But I also let the patient fit the implant into the bra and walk around so they know how the added volume and weight will feel. Large implants can become very heavy.

Surgeons are largely going to do their best to achieve the best and safest outcomes for their patients. Patients should make sure they are comfortable with the surgeon and office stay and make sure they have asked all of their questions and received satisfactory answers before proceeding with surgery.

‘It is also important not only to limit the size of the operations, but also the number of operations that are performed at the same time. It is best to organize procedures to separate dates if too many are requested for when the duration of the procedure will be more than six hours.’
