How millionaire YouTuber Mr Beast offered two people £390k to stay locked in a room together for NINETY DAYS… but challenged them to split or steal the cash

Youtuber MrBeast’s latest challenge involved locking two strangers in a room for 90 days, but he revealed a nail-biting twist that challenged them to split or steal almost £400,000 in cash.

MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, from the US, is the world’s richest YouTube star and is known for creating engaging challenges, games or online experiments.

The 25-year-old social media star regularly gives away millions of dollars to lucky subscribers, but viewers are calling his latest challenge a little more disturbing than usual.

His latest tricky task involved two complete strangers named Suzie and Bailey, an all-white ‘isolation room’ and $500,000 (£392,000) cash.

MrBeast’s latest challenge involved locking two strangers in a room for 90 days, but he revealed a nail-biting twist that challenged them to split or steal almost £400,000 in cash.

MrBeast then left the pair in the cube-like room, which contained two makeshift beds, no windows, a private bathroom and enough food for 100 days.

Suzie and Bailey initially had to play with objects and materials around the room, such as making stacks of paper cards and building forts from cans of food.

Every day they had to eat regular chicken, and the indoor lighting was permanently set to ‘blindingly bright’.

However, MrBeast would come by every ten days throughout the challenge to entice them with extra prizes, cash and better food, but it would all come at a price.

The YouTuber would offer the pair treats that would cost a significant portion of their potential prize money, such as a private chef who would cook them for every meal on day 10.

On day 20, Suzie and Bailey were offered the chance to buy beds and a dimmer for the bright lights for $50,000 (£39,000), but the couple turned down both offers.

The two finally hooked up on day 30 and bought the entire Harry Potter book collection and a coffee machine for $20,000 (£15,700).

The contestants managed to pass the time relatively without any problems, aside from a frustrated Suzie who ended up hiding the Monopoly dice to prevent them from playing any more games.

When the final day arrived, MrBeast arrived with an unexpected twist: the couple faced the final challenge: divide the money, as agreed, or steal it for themselves.

If one of them chose to steal while the other chose to split, the ‘robber’ would walk away with the entire prize – but if they both chose to steal, they would leave the room with nothing.

Fortunately, both Suzie and Bailey were unwilling to take the risk, and the pair decided to split, meaning they both walked away with $250,000 (£196,000).

A third said: ‘They picked the perfect guy for this, he had almost no opinion and agreed with everything she said.’

Meanwhile, one cynical viewer wrote: ‘I’m starting to think Mr Beast is just conducting lockdown psychology experiments for the government.’

Another fan suggested a more challenging change to the task, writing, “Imagine repeating this challenge but increasing the heat in the room to induce sweat and replacing food with beans and other gas-causing foods.”

It comes after MrBeast revealed he earns a whopping £550million a year but claims not to be rich.

He became the most followed person on YouTube in 2022 and with 240 million subscribers as of early 2024, he is only just behind Indian record label and production company T-Series in the race for the top spot.
