After Kate Middleton posted a new photo of herself as a baby… how many of these royal babies can you name?

It is a lovely photograph of a smiling little boy reaching out to touch his father’s face.

And it’s all the more remarkable as the adorable baby is none other than the Princess of Wales.

Kate shared a photo of herself with her father Michael Middleton yesterday to promote her new campaign highlighting the importance of early childhood.

The snap was taken by the princess’s mother, Carole, and Kate captioned it: “To daddy, to mommy,” adding: “Faces are a baby’s best toy.”

She urged others to follow suit by sharing their own childhood photos online, and stars including Victoria Beckham, Harry Kane and Jamie Oliver obligated, with the TV chef posting an image of himself in brown 1970s pants. and skates with a leash.

Kate shared the photo of herself with her father Michael Middleton yesterday to promote her new campaign.

The movement spearheads a week of advertising to launch the Princess’ Shaping Us campaign to “raise awareness of the vital role our early years play in shaping the rest of our lives.”

Kate wrote: This weekend, we’d love for all of you to spend time with your friends, family, colleagues and communities talking about your early childhood and how it has shaped your lives. I hope you’ll also consider joining me in sharing a photo of you before your fifth birthday to help with those conversations and share some smiles and memories too.’

To launch her campaign, the Princess wowed youngsters at an east London primary school, spoke to students in Leeds and released an animated ‘clay-doh’ video of a girl growing from birth to five.

A spokesperson for the Princess, who promotes the work of the Royal Foundation Early Childhood Centre, described the cause as “her life’s work”, adding that the campaign was designed to look at how our first years of life us ” mold” into the adults we become.
