Christine

Gregg’s first wife, Christine, left the marriage in 1991 after just six weeks of marriage.

The couple tied the knot in an impromptu wedding ceremony, followed by a meal at a pie and mash shop.

The TV personality, who was just 24 years old when they met, opened up about their romance in his autobiography.

He joked that their marriage was “possibly the shortest marriage in the world,” and admitted he knew it was a mistake even before they tied the knot.

Denise Lovall

He subsequently married pastry chef Denise, with whom he had two children, but the marriage ended when it became known that he had had an affair with an employee.

He then married pastry chef Denise, with whom he had children Tom and Libby, now 27 and 24.

The couple met in 1993 and tied the knot in 1999 and were married for five years.

They divorced in 2004 after Denise discovered that Gregg was having an affair with one of his employees.

Denise raged that he would “never change” in an explosive interview with People in 2009 – around the time he met his third wife, Heidi.

Sadly, Denise passed away in 2017 after a tough battle with alcohol addiction.

Wife number three was Heidi, who he met on Twitter, but they split in 2012 – just fourteen months after their lavish wedding ceremony.

The biology teacher exchanged messages with Gregg on the social media site and things quickly turned romantic.

“The third was a big mistake,” Gregg admitted.

‘Probably the unhappiest I’ve ever been in my life, but she was a teacher and was very good with the children.’

After divorcing Heidi, Gregg dated beautiful women who made him feel, he told the Ny Breaking, “like he was driving my Jag with the top down” when he walked into restaurants with them.

His psychiatrist told him that he would never find happiness if he continued to choose women the way he chose cars.

“The reason I had so many girlfriends was that I was always looking for someone,” he said in an interview last year.

‘I think it’s an absolute game of chance. What are the chances that you will meet someone who you are not only attracted to and feel comfortable and happy with, but who is actually looking for what you have to offer? What are the chances of that happening?’

Anne-Marie, who goes by Anna, is a caterer who Gregg first met on Twitter just months after his split from Heidi in 2013.

When she asked about one of his TV recipes, she asked the former greengrocer whether rhubarb really goes with duck, as she saw him demonstrate on a cooking show.

Gregg recalled the interaction in 2015 to HELLO! Magazine: ‘I just looked at Anna’s photo and thought, “Wow, she’s beautiful.” So yes, rhubarb, which was considered an aphrodisiac in the Middle Ages, brought us together.”

That first exchange took place in 2013, but Anna wasn’t sure at first if the TV chef was the one.

Gregg said of ITV’s Lorraine: ‘I messaged her and we started messaging. Then I sent her my phone number.

‘She came to London to have dinner with me, and she said it wasn’t until we got to the restaurant that she felt comfortable that it was me and not an impostor.

‘I think it’s just luck, and this time I was very lucky. Good luck.’

Gregg admitted he was concerned about the age difference, but said it never seemed to bother Anna, 21 years his junior.

Still, he said he sometimes felt uncomfortable when people saw him holding his partner’s hand.

“People do look at you and I felt very conscious because she was younger,” he explained, “and I didn’t want people to judge her harshly. It was doing the usual things.”

The couple got engaged in December 2014 and said ‘I do’ at Hever Castle in Kent on August 6, 2016 – with fellow MasterChef judge John Torode as his co-star’s best man.

The couple welcomed son Sid in 2019, despite Gregg's initial hesitations about becoming a father for the third time in his 50s.

Anna is the foodie’s fourth wife and tells Lorraine that each of his previous marriages has taught him something.

“I said, ‘At my age I wouldn’t choose to have children, but I’m in love with you and if that’s what you want, I’ll be happy to do it with you,'” Gregg recalled last year. ‘But I had two conditions.

“I said, ‘I don’t like trading my young, cute, sexy girlfriend for an exhausted mother, but if that’s what you want, I’m willing to get help. The other condition was: ‘I want to have a fourteen-day holiday with you. every year without a baby’.

‘Normally by my age your children are grown and you get your wife back. By the time our son Sid is twenty, I will be in my seventies. I have to laugh about it now, the two conditions I had.’

Gregg recently said in The Telegraph’s My Saturday column: ‘I’m a much better father now that I’m older, although another child isn’t something I would have chosen at my age.

‘I was always very honest with Anna, but that’s what she wanted and I love her. I only asked for two things: that we have help in the house (so her mother came to live there), and secondly, that we have at least one week a year to go on holiday just the two of us.’
