Come Sunday afternoon at 3pm at Melbourne’s Albert Park, all drivers on the grid will have a laser-like focus ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
Formula 1 is a sport famous for its characters – and the likes of McLaren’s Lando Norris, Finnish cult hero Valtteri Bottas and charismatic Australian Daniel Ricciardo have enjoyed their time off.
Japan’s Yuki Tsunoda, driving for Red Bull, enjoyed some famous Melbourne coffees, while Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc – a keen surfer – was thrilled during a stint on the manufactured waves at Urbn Surf.
British Mercedes driver George Russell posted images of Melbourne’s famous Yarra River on social media, as well as towering photos of Marvel Stadium and Docklands.
He described the city as “amazing” and said “it’s great to be back.”

Norris, who posted the fastest time during Friday’s practice session, loved it Melbourne’s famous streets and street art.
He posted images online of Hosier Lane and other famous spots.
Bewildered cyclists may have seen it Bottas – driving for Sauber – pedals at high speed around Albert Park.
Like Leclerc, he also headed to the Urbnsurf park.
And then there is fan favorite Ricciardo.
The Perth-born driver was spotted in Docklands and later rode his scooter in true Australian style around the Albert Park circuit.
Fellow countryman Oscar Piastri showed his passion for football and proudly wore a Richmond Tigers jersey during a fan meet and greet on Thursday.
On Saturday from 12:30pm AEDT, teams and drivers will have their last chance to take part in qualifying for the main event on Sunday from 3pm.
