How Donald Trump’s grandchildren channeled President-Elect’s Republican red ‘brand’ – and put on a ‘united’ family front with their fashion

The youngest members of the new president’s controversial family channeled ‘Brand Trump’ with All-American prep fashion as they wore blazers and chinos after the controversial politician’s shock victory this week, a stylist has revealed.

The former real estate mogul’s grandchildren projected a “united” front as they nod to the Republican image with red shades and business-casual ensembles.

The parents who dressed their children seemed to make a statement with the way they styled their little ones, projecting an image of classic American-style trousers and ties.

“Seeing Donald Trump on the election stage with his family, including his grandchildren, showed a united family,” fashion expert Lisa Talbot told FEMAIL.

‘There was a range of clothing styles. The more informal, smart-casual style of blazers, chinos and sneakers allows the American public to identify with it more, it gives them the feeling that they are ‘one of us’.’

These were worn by the youngest members of the clan, namely Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe Trump, 10 – Don Jr and Vanessa Haydon’s three youngest children.

Tristan and Spencer wore navy and beige pants with relaxed black blazers and button-up shirts.

Both also had sporty patterned ties, but to add a more relaxed look that resembled something more easily worn as a child, they also had white sneakers.

Their sister, meanwhile, was given a red-striped dress highlighted with navy blue stripes and some sandals.

The more easy-going ensembles are “correct for the younger members,” Lisa added, “so they don’t give the impression of being something they are not.”

“They are young children in a very unusual environment,” she explained. “But representative of the occasion.”

The simple styles are available everywhere from George at Asda to M&S in Britain, meaning they are universally suitable clothes for children.

However, the stylist said the older male grandchildren were “more businesslike” with their suits.

Donald Trump III, 15, Don Jr. and Vanessa’s eldest son, was his grandfather’s mini-me as they wore matching black suits and Republican red ties.

Meanwhile, the politician’s youngest son, Barron, 18, towered behind his father in a suit and striped tie with an American flag pin on the lapel.

“Wearing a suit is more business-like, but they’ve played with the color of their tie to create a more relaxed side and incorporate the election colors so they stay ‘on brand,'” Lisa said.

“We still have to take into account that they are ‘Brand Trump’, just as Donald Trump has worn a red cap during his campaign,” she revealed.

“Many voters followed suit and wore one.”

Lisa said the ensemble was “simple, classy and elegant for a young lady.”

“Personally, as a stylist, I think that younger members of a family attending a more formal occasion can be smart-casual and still suit the occasion,” the expert added.

‘So that they can enjoy themselves and still be aware of their environment.’

After a landslide victory in the 2024 election, Donald Trump’s family and close allies joined him on stage for his victory speech.

But two key Trump family members were missing from a photo posted by Donald’s granddaughter Kai, taken at the election watch party held at his Mar-a-Lago estate just hours earlier.

The 17-year-old captioned the photo “the whole squad,” but soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump was nowhere to be seen.

Don Jr.’s fiancée of four years, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was also not pictured next to the family, despite appearing at several campaign stops. Kai’s mother Vanessa Haydon, who shares five children with Don Jr., was the center of attention.

Elon Musk and his son, X Æ A-12, also managed to sneak into the family portrait. The Tesla billionaire became a vocal MAGA fan and one of Trump’s biggest backers during the election. His social media platform X also became an unofficial campaign tool of the Republican Party.

These are the people – along with several other well-known names who sided with him during the presidential campaign – who will play an important role in his administration over the next four years.

Elsewhere, as Trump took the stage Tuesday night to declare victory in the presidential race, his daughter Ivanka turned heads with her outfit choice.

Ivanka, 43, decided to wear a royal blue velvet pantsuit to the historic moment, leading some critics to speculate that she was subtly showing support for the Democrats since the color of the Republican party is red.

Ivanka, a former adviser to Trump’s first presidential term, was noticeably absent from her father’s campaign this year, refusing to attend a single rally until election night.

In Ivanka’s blue suit on election night, some claimed it was her way of hinting that she would have preferred a Kamala Harris win over her father, with observers asking, “Of all the colors…why blue?”

Ivanka stood next to her husband, investor and former Trump administration official Jared Kushner, on stage on election night, while much of her family was placed on the other side of the stage.

Critics noted that this, along with Ivanka’s blue suit, may have been the First Daughter’s way of showing her distaste for her family’s politics.

‘Why is Ivanka Trump wearing a Democratic shade of blue? And she’s far away from Trump and the rest of the family…” said an observer on X.

Ivanka wasn’t the only one turning heads with her outfit choices on Election Day, with First Lady Jill Biden also choosing to wear the other party’s colors.

Biden wore a bright red pantsuit on Tuesday, knowing she would be voting in front of a crowd of cameras all day and speaking to swing state voters.

Many were convinced she did this to say goodbye to Kamala Harris, who brutally pushed aside Joe Biden and brutally threw him out of her campaign after his disastrous debate performance in June.

Ivanka was a Democrat until her father became a Republican. So was her husband Jared Kushner, and his immediate family remain prominent donors to Democrats.

President-elect Trump himself was once a member of the Liberal Party, but permanently switched to the Republican Party in 2012.
