How does she do it? Julie Bishop, 67, is officially crowned Australia’s reigning queen of style as she attends a whopping six shows at Australian Fashion Week – leaving influencers half her age in her wake

Among the stars of Australian Fashion Week, one figure effortlessly outshone the influencers and fashionistas.

Julie Bishop cemented her status as Australia’s ‘Minister of Fashion’ after attending six impressive shows at the star-studded event.

The former Secretary of State, 67, stole the spotlight with her fashion selections, turning heads in different outfits at each appearance.

She made a solo entrance at the Viktoria & Woods show at Sydney’s Carriageworks on Monday, wearing a brown jacket, black turtleneck and trousers.

Ms Bishop made a statement in a striking red dress while attending Carla Zampatti’s catwalk event on the same day.

On Tuesday, Ms Bishop supported her friend Pip Edwards at the PE Nation show, showing off her slim pins in tight leggings from Pip’s label.

Her remarkable fashion show continued as she also graced the Acler and Michael Lo Sordo runway shows on Tuesday in stylish all-black ensembles.

Meanwhile, the fashion icon was all smiles on Thursday as she posed in a stylish white trench coat-inspired dress at the David Jones Indigenous Fashion Projects event.

It was a striking contrast to many of Sydney’s much younger influencers, who were largely absent and in some cases reportedly banned from events.

As exclusively revealed by Daily Mail Australia, only a handful of brides from this year’s season of Married At First Sight were invited, after previous years saw a flood of fame-hungry contestants flock to Sydney’s Carriageworks venue.

MAFS brides Lauren Dunn and Sara Mesa were spotted at the event, as well as older attendees like Carolina Santos.

Even regular attendee and former MAFS groom Nasser Sultan failed to make a cameo in the first four days of the event.

Just last week, Ms. Bishop received Japan’s highest honor: the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun.

She looked a vision of beauty in a deep purple satin dress as she entered the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Thursday.

The politician received the award during a very exclusive ceremony from Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.

“Honoured to receive Japan’s highest award, Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, today at an investiture ceremony with His Majesty the Emperor and Prime Minister Kishida at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo,” Julie captioned her post.

The Order of the Rising Sun is a Japanese decoration awarded every April by the country’s government.

It is awarded to individuals from both Japan and abroad who have made distinguished contributions to Japan’s progress.

Julie attended the investiture ceremony with her new partner, Stephen from Perth, by her side after debuting their romance in July 2023.
