After gifting his long-neglected seventh grandchild a pile of coal every Christmas for years, he’s being even stingier with his love this festive election season.

He completely erased granddaughter Navy Joan Roberts from Christmas.

Ugh nonsense!

You see, since Grampy Joe and Granny Jill have been living in the White House, they’ve made a big show of hanging six red and white stockings over the fireplace in the state dining room. One happy sock for each of their beloved grandchildren.

“How sweet,” their media cheerleaders cheered. “But wait a minute,” protested a handful of intrepid journalists: Don’t grandma and grandpa have seven grandchildren?

Oohhh… oohhhh… Do you hear that howl?

It’s the spirit of Hunter’s Past.

Take me back to the year 2017, when a drug-addicted Hunter Biden met an Arkansas woman named Lunden Roberts while she was working as an exotic dancer at the Mpire strip club in Washington, DC.

Years later, the First Son would write about their illicit affair in his memoir Beautiful Things. “I had no memory of our meeting,” Hunter explained. “That’s why I would later challenge in court the Arkansas woman who had a baby in 2018 and claimed it was mine.”

Like so many Hunter stories, this one didn’t pass the smell test.

For example, ‘the woman from Arkansas’ was on the payroll of Hunter’s investment company. And no number of challenges from The Talented Mr. Grifty can alter a DNA test. So in January 2020, a court ruled that he was in fact the father of Marine Joan Roberts.

Now, after Hunter’s Maury moment, Joe and Jill should have — by any common standard of human decency — acknowledged their granddaughter.

Instead, they pretended the whole ordeal never happened.

Joe continued to claim he had six grandchildren. Dr. Jill has even dedicated a children’s book to her grandchildren – but only six of them.

Who knows? Perhaps Operation Denial could have worked if Hunter had not tried to reduce his child support payments to the Marine mother. Not only is it slimy, it’s cheap! And the scandal hit the news again.

“It’s Seven Grandchildren, Mr. President,” blared the headline of Maureen Dowd’s New York Times column in July.

“The President’s cold shoulder — and his heart — contradicts every message he has sent for decades, and it is out of sync with the America he wants to continue to lead,” she wrote, using the old Joe punctured.

A few weeks later, Biden relented. In a news dump on Friday, the President and First Lady revealed to People (yes, the magazine) that they finally recognized the Navy.

It only took four years and some good old-fashioned public shaming for the pair to summon some of that famous Biden empathy.

So this Christmas, after all that, the holidays at the White House would certainly be different.

America would finally see Navy Joan’s name on a stocking next to all the other children. The tough American people would pool their endless capacity for forgiveness, Hunter and the Navy would be proud, and together we would all embrace this innocent child.

Right?

Wrong.

Instead of adding the long-lost sock to the mantel, Mr. and Mrs. Decency completely demolished the display.

The Biden family will “spend Christmas at Camp David and their family stockings will be there.”

Really and truly? Suddenly the Bidens are very private?

Does this mean Hunter will no longer be appearing at state dinners, gushing about foreign trips with his father, or sweating buckets on the White House balcony?

What about the family wedding ceremonies in the Rose Garden or the glossy spreads in Vogue?

No, this isn’t about decorum. This is clumsy cruelty, and it should be called out.

Almost as sickening as the First Family’s behavior is the mainstream media’s compliance.

Witness most of the coverage of Biden’s White House decorations. They make no mention of that glaring national embarrassment – ​​a naked cloak from which those stockings once hung.

Look, we obviously don’t know all the ugly details of Hunter and Lunden’s relationship, nor do we know if the Bidens have reason to have anything against her.

But what does Navy Joan have to do with that? Why do they continue to publicly humiliate their own flesh and blood?

The President and the First Lady are gutless cowards who refused to admit their own transgressions.

Will they, like Scrooge, ever see the value of family?

Remember this as the country heads toward another presidential election and we are told from above that morality matters and only President Biden can restore goodness to America.

And remember, the Biden family will shamelessly break their Christmas tradition if it means maintaining their most important family ritual: cheating.
