Sam Worthington proved chivalry isn’t dead on Friday when he stepped out with his wife Lara for a romantic park date.
The couple looked very much in love as they enjoyed a summer walk, holding hands and soaking up the sun.
The Avatar star, 48, cut a casual figure in a navy blue T-shirt with a bright red star on the chest.
He paired it with matching chinos and black Adidas sneakers and completed his outfit with dark sunglasses.
Sam was wearing what looked like a bottle of sunscreen and also had a hint of stubble.
Meanwhile, Lara, 37, appeared to have borrowed from Sam’s wardrobe, opting for a large, oversized collared shirt.

The loose, olive-colored checked shirt camouflaged Lara’s slim body and ended at her thighs.
She also wore a pair of tight-fitting burgundy gym shorts that were virtually hidden beneath her oversized shirt.
Lara completed her outfit with a pair of black running shoes and a pair of light blue ankle socks.
The long-term couple put on quite the romantic display as they enjoyed the child-free day out without sons Rocket, nine, Racer, eight, and River, four.
As they strolled through the park hand in hand, Sam proved just how romantic he really was.
In a rather gentle manner, Sam lovingly lifted his wife’s hand to his lips and offered him a soft, chivalrous kiss.
Lara seemed quite enamored with the romantic act, looking into her man’s eyes and smiling as he performed the intimate action.
It wasn’t all banter for the couple though, with Lara pulling out a football at one point during their outing.
Lara, meanwhile, appears to have raided Sam’s closet and chosen a large, oversized shirt

It wasn’t all messing around for the couple though, with Lara producing a football at one point during their outing.
Lara appeared in quite a playful mood, as she happily threw the ball in the air and tried to bounce it on her knee.
Meanwhile, Sam preferred to be a spectator and enjoyed watching his wife show off her ball skills.
Even another loving gesture – Sam putting his arm around Lara’s waist – couldn’t take her eyes off the ball
Sam’s night out with his wife Lara at the 2024 GQ Men of the Year Awards got off to a bumpy start when a red carpet interview with the couple went horribly wrong on live TV.
Channel Seven reporter Sally Bowery introduced Sam’s 37-year-old wife to viewers of the Sydney event by her maiden name Lara Bingle – and it went down like a lead balloon.
“Her name is Lara Worthington,” the 48-year-old Avatar star clapped back.
“It’s only been ten years,” a clearly irritated Sam quickly added.
Bowery quickly apologized for his mistake.

“Those were my panties,” she said.
Later in the evening, the Avatar star was crowned GQ’s Man of the Year.
After the incident, Sally broke her silence and revealed how she really feels about Sam’s tense reaction to her mistake.
In a column for Seven, the veteran reporter admitted she ‘didn’t know’ why her gaffe caused so much offense as she criticized Sam for his response.
‘I said Lara’s maiden name. Not the wrong name. Just a name she had used for much of her life. A name that was a household name long before she met her husband,” Sally said.
She insisted that Lara herself didn’t seem “in the least bothered” by her mistake and laughed it off as she shared her confusion about why Sam wanted her to be called by her married name.
Sally argued, “Then why not at an event where her husband celebrated what it means to be a modern man now?” A married woman’s identity is much more than her husband’s last name.’
She then quoted Sam’s own acceptance speech when he was crowned Man of the Year hours later, in which he spoke about the need to leave behind outdated views.
‘[He told] the masses say that men can “love others unconditionally and respectfully, without having to conform to an outdated standard or a stereotypical, archaic and downright sad idea of what a man should be.” I completely agree,” she concluded.
Sam and Lara started dating in 2013 and secretly married in 2014 and have since welcomed three sons: Racer, eight, River, four, and Rocket, nine.
