The boyfriend of a wealthy eastern suburbs socialite accused of assaulting him worked as a male escort before their relationship.
BondiBoost founder and restaurateur Alexandra Jakob was charged with common assault after an alleged incident with her new partner Michael Burn on January 17.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Mr Burn was previously known by his stage name ‘Mr Jake Ryan’ and was one of Australia’s ‘top male escorts’, charging up to $5,000 a night.
The British-born escort, who used to work in sales, told Daily Mail Australia he traded his $500-a-week salary as a sex worker for $500 an hour in 2021.
“As soon as I tried it out and saw the money, I thought, yeah, I’m moving into the escort life,” he said.

Although it is not known whether Ms Jakobs was aware of his past as a sex worker when they started dating in September last year, it is believed he left the industry months later in November.
In a poignant post shared on social media, Jake claimed he was retiring immediately after ten years in the adult industry.
“I’m starting a new and brighter future,” the message read.

“All profiles/social accounts will be deactivated on November 11, 2023,” he added.
Police allege Ms Jakob attacked Mr Burn and destroyed a door at an address in Point Piper at 2.10am, according to court documents.
Ms Jakob and Mr Burn did not respond to Daily Mail Australia requests for comment.
The pair have continued to post cozy pictures on social media since the alleged incident, with Mr Burn posting gushing messages on Instagram ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Ms Jakob has pleaded not guilty to the charges and will appear at Downing Center Court on August 28, the Daily Telegraph reported.
She was granted bail on the condition that she not stalk, harass, threaten, assault or intimidate Mr Burn, or damage any property or animal he owns.
Ms Jakob is prohibited from being in the company of Mr Burn within 12 hours of drinking alcohol or using illegal drugs.
Police have issued an interim violent arrest warrant for Mr Burn’s protection.
However, since the alleged incident, the pair have continued to post cozy pictures on social media, with Mr Burn posting gushing messages on Instagram ahead of Valentine’s Day.
“Happy Valentines (sic) Day to be (sic) my best friend, soulmate (sic) and my future,” Mr Burn wrote in a series of images reposted by Ms Jakob.

Ms Jakob skyrocketed to success through her Bondi Boost brand, which sells hair care products such as oils, brushes, treatments and vitamins.
However, in April 2022, she quietly sold the brand to US private equity firm Gauge Capital for an undisclosed amount.
She is now a business partner in Spanish Bondi restaurant Iberica.
Ms Jakob was previously married to multi-millionaire technology investor Gabriel Jakob (whose surname was previously Yakob), and was banned from providing financial services by ASIC in 2022 for a period of five years.
ASIC also banned Trading Life Services from providing financial services for five years, finding that the company had engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct, or conduct likely to mislead or deceive, by publishing and distributing promotional material, and that under the supervision of Mr Yakob. it is not sufficiently trained or competent to participate in the financial services industry.

In 2020, the Australian reported that Hyper Capital had $550 million in assets and the couple did not need financing to buy their second and third homes.
In late 2022, the Jakobs purchased a vacant lot overlooking Sydney Harbor from the son of Chinese billionaire Wu Li in September 2022 for $27 million.
It was previously rumored that the couple had plans to combine the three waterfront properties into a mega-mansion on the harbour, including Sydney’s largest home and a ‘love room’.
All traces of their wedding have been erased from Ms Jakob’s social media, apart from a handful of tagged photos from the couple’s 2017 wedding in New Zealand.
