How to get Bluey coins from Royal Australia Mint

Australia’s beloved blue heeler, Bluey, will be featured in a new set of coins to be released by the Royal Australian Mint tomorrow.

The coin collection shows only Bluey, another shows the Heeler family together, and the third shows Bingo and Bluey dressed as The Grannies.

They can be purchased as individual coin cards or as a set of three coins including a sticker sheet.

Bluey is an Australian animated children’s series that follows the adventures of a Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey, who lives in Brisbane with her family.

Royal Australia Mint CEO Leigh Gordon said the Bluey coins have given the Mint an opportunity to reconnect with a wider audience.

“This is the classic story of the coin and the commentary on social culture through coins,” Mr Gordon said.

“We hope that with this new Bluey program we will cultivate the coin collector of tomorrow.

‘What better way to start your child or grandchild’s coin collection than with a Bluey coin.’

Kate O’Connor, who is responsible for creating Bluey products, said the coins reflect the spirit of Bluey.

“These fun and colorful coins capture the playful essence of the beloved TV series, making them a timeless treasure for fans and collectors alike.”

The Mint expects high demand for the coins and is therefore urging people to register for an online ballot, which opens at 8:30 am today.

The coins will also be available tomorrow at the Mint temporary coin store and through select authorized distributors.
