House of the Dragon actress Gayle Rankin dons BIZARRE outfit consisting of plastic ‘dump him’ top and hugely oversized denim skirt during quirky New York City outing

Gayle Rankin showed off her bizarre fashion sense outside her New York City hotel on Friday.

The House of the Dragon star, 33, dropped his jaw in a bizarre ensemble consisting of a plastic top with the inscription ‘Dump him’ and a huge denim skirt.

The top gave the impression that she wasn’t wearing a bra under a T-shirt – but upon closer inspection, her bare shoulder was exposed because the fake sleeve didn’t line up with her arm or neckline.

The actress kept the fake shirt next to her body by pressing her arms against her sides.

The Glow alum completed her unique ensemble with an oversized denim skirt that flared out at the hips.

The beauty wore light make-up, styled her short platinum locks to the side and hid her eyes behind dark glasses.

In April, HBO announced that Gayle had been added to the cast of the Game of Thrones prequel, playing Alys Rivers, a House Strong bastard servant who plays a pivotal role in Targaryen’s civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.

Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series is based on the Fire & Blood novels by George RR Martin, which describes Rankin’s character as some kind of witch with prophetic visions.

Filming on Season 2 began last month despite the US writers’ strike as production progressed in the UK, according to a source for Variety.

An insider told the publication that the scripts for the series have been finished for some time and it will have no effect on filming.

This comes after the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers ended contract talks with the Writers Guild of America last month, hours before their contract expires.

The WGA responded by calling for a strike, with all members of the guild stopping work on any project under the union’s jurisdiction if any active writing is taking place.

HBO was lucky, though, as House Of The Dragon Season 2 scripts have been completed and production is well underway.

Ryan Condal, showrunner and executive producer of the series, teased what fans can expect from season two, saying, “House of the Dragon has returned. We are excited to be shooting again with members of our original family as well as new talent on both sides of the camera.

“All of your favorite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching their armies and drawing their dragons into battle. We can’t wait to share what we have in store.”

The first season was praised by critics, with particular praise for the show’s visual effects and character development.

HBO bosses hope the next batch of episodes replicates the success of season one, with the first episode being viewed by more than 10 million on its first day, the most for any premiere in HBO history.

Each of the Season 1 episodes of House of the Dragon averaged 29 million viewers in the US
