Dramatic scenes as heroic tradies rescue elderly woman from burning home
Harrowing footage has captured the dramatic moment two heroic tradies saved an elderly woman after her house went up in flames.
The massive fire ripped through the property on Harold Street in Seaton, northwest Adelaide, about 12.15pm on Tuesday.
Footage showed thick plumes of smoke pouring from the house before the fire quickly spread to the backyard.
Solar energy installer Mike Ajami and his colleague were driving by on their lunch break, saw the fire and took action.
The woman, 70, had also suffered burns when they found her in the backyard clinging to a tree.
Footage showed the pair jumping the fence and Mr Ajami was heard shouting at the woman to escape.
“Go away… Rob push her, push her,” Mr. Ajami shouted at his colleague.
“There’s a lady there,” trying to put out the fire. “Holy f*** bro!”
His colleague took cover as thick smoke continued to spread during the chaos.

The 70-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries
The pair rescued the woman by taking her to safety over the fence.
She was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, including several burns.
The woman was sleeping in the house when the fire broke out, before she was woken by a neighbor banging on the front window.
“She didn’t want to leave the house, she was holding on to the tree … she didn’t want to leave,” Mr Ajami said. Nine news.
“Everyone was screaming, there was a lady in the back…no one was going to get her.”
“So me and my buddy jumped the fence.”
The woman’s condition in hospital is currently unknown.

Neighbors praised the courage of the tradies.
“They are heroes, they really are, because without them she wouldn’t be here,” one woman said.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined by investigators.
“Police and MFS Fire Cause Investigators are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire, including the cause of the fire,” a police statement said.
