‘Hottest young royal’ Alexander Ogilvy joins the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where both Prince William and Harry trained as officers
Prince George is not expected to undertake military service before he becomes king, breaking with centuries-old tradition, the Mail on Sunday reported last year.
However, one young royal is eager to sign up.
I can reveal that Alexander Ogilvy, who has been described as ‘the most handsome British royal you’ve never heard of’, is joining the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst this weekend.
Alex, 27, is a grandson of Princess Alexandra, cousin and bridesmaid to Queen Elizabeth.
His sister, Flora Vesterberg, has spoken of her pride that he joined the armed forces. “We are filled with admiration for you,” she wrote online. “Forever thoughtful and inspiring.”

Alex was headmaster of Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh, where the school year costs £43,500 a year. He was an academic high flyer, achieving high grades in his exams, including straight A’s and straight A’s.

They have since broken up and Alex is in a relationship with ‘It Girl’ Isabella Charlotta Poppius.
Until now, Alex worked in New York at the technology company Prove, which helps companies let their customers prove their identity.
When an interviewer once asked him what three words best described him, he jokingly replied, “A deceitful, insecure man.”
He later said that one of his favorite hobbies outside of work was “practicing a British accent.”
