Naples, Florida, is known as “the retirement destination of choice for the rich, powerful and those who hate the cold” and has been named America’s best place to live by the annual U.S. News & World Report.
Closely followed by Naples were Boise (ID), Colorado Springs (CO) and Greenville (SC).

The city also offers plenty of entertainment, including golf courses, nature reserves, farms, museums, excellent restaurants and even some gambling at the Seminole Casino Hotel.

For the past two years, the city has been ranked sixth in the U.S. News and World Report rankings.

The median household income in the city is $98,120, nearly a third higher than the national average of $75,149.
Moreover, the crime rate is lower than in the rest of the country: 106.8 crimes are committed per 100,000 inhabitants.
To determine the best places to live, researchers rated cities on six key criteria: affordability, happiness, health care, retiree taxes, attractiveness, and labor market.
