‘Hot’ Purple Wiggle John Pearce and wife Jessie Adamo called out by fans for ‘terrifying’ act in unborn child’s nursery
The Wiggles star John Pearce and his heavily pregnant wife Jessie Adamo have been criticized for a detail spotted in a video they shared while building their unborn child’s nursery.
The ‘hot’ Purple Wiggle, 33, posted images of the arduous task on Instagram and proudly shared the nursery reveal after his efforts in organizing the project and assembling furniture.
At one point he took off his shirt to show off his very fit physique, while joking about the amount of cardboard he had to throw away.
John captioned the video, “Sweet baby, while mommy is building you, daddy is building the nursery and throwing away all the cardboard.”
But some critics could only focus on one ‘terrifying’ detail: John and Jessie’s cat Bally was seen sleeping in the baby’s crib.
John petted the cat as he felt completely at home in the cozy bed.

One commenter started the barrage of unsolicited criticism with, “Hey John, please keep the cat out of the crib or where the newborn will lie as cat fur can cause allergies in babies.”
“I hate to be that person, but I have to say it. If your cat gets comfortable in the crib before the baby comes home, don’t be surprised if he climbs in when the baby gets out of the crib. I have accidentally heard choking stories that are terrifying,” another added.
A third said: ‘Cats love the smell of babies so be careful. My mother found our cat with the baby in the crib on her christening day – luckily not on top of her!’
‘Nobody hates it when they tell you not to encourage the cat to sit in the crib because the cat will think it’s okay and there might be a baby in there one day. You should try to discourage Bally from staying away,” one user commented.
Another wrote: ‘Be careful with the cat. My aunt found it on my niece’s face when she was a baby.’
Despite numerous followers calling out the potential danger, others defended the couple.
“All the unsolicited parenting advice from all the experts,” one wrote, while another simply said: “Nice! I love seeing the cat in the cradle.”

But when the beautiful room was unveiled, some critics could only focus on one ‘terrifying’ detail: John and Jessie’s cat Bally (pictured) was sleeping in their baby’s crib.
One person started the barrage of unsolicited criticism with: ‘Hey John, please keep the cat out of the crib or where the newborn will lie because cat fur can cause allergies in babies’
Despite numerous followers calling out the expectant new parents, others rushed to their defense and knocked to the ground those who complained about the cat in the crib.
A third took a more direct approach, writing: ‘Omg can everyone please stop talking about their cat.
‘The idea is to introduce cats to the new furniture before the baby arrives, because then it won’t be completely new to them as they’ve already gotten used to it.
“But if you also have some common sense, they will most likely re-wash the things the cat has been laying on all over the place.” Let people live their damn lives,” they added.
John and Jessie, who tied the knot in 2019, announced in June that they were expecting their first child.
The announcement was accompanied by a touching video on Instagram of the emotional moment they discovered Jessie was pregnant and confirmed they were having a baby boy.
“It’s been a long journey, but our beautiful angel has finally been sent to us,” they wrote in the post.
‘We are so full of joy and can’t wait to meet you – baby Adamo Pearce, due December 2024.’
Since then, they’ve been sharing regular updates about their baby journey on social media, from the first ultrasound to a baby shower and a luxurious ‘babymoon’ in Fiji last month.
John and Jessie started dating in 2012, just two years after his dance-pop group Justice Crew shot to fame with their win on Australia’s Got Talent.
They tied the knot in a private ceremony in October 2019, and will mark their fifth anniversary together at the end of this year.
The children’s entertainer then wore the purple skivvy when he joined The Wiggles in 2021.
