Hot mic catches Travis Kelce getting insulted by his own Chiefs teammate
Travis Kelce was scheduled for Sunday’s home game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns — and even though his team won, the tight end didn’t have it all his way.
The Chiefs defeated the Browns 21-7, with Kelce catching four receptions for 27 yards as his team extended their winning record to 13-1.
The 35-year-old clearly enjoyed playing in his hometown, as evidenced by the “Mic’d Up” video the Chiefs shared on Wednesday. But he had a sobering moment in a quick conversation with fellow tight end Noah Gray.
The duo were filmed together on the sidelines in the dying stages of the match as the Chiefs were on the verge of another victory.
“The white people are coming in, dude,” Gray said to Kelce about his hair. “You’re getting old.”
For his part, Kelce took issue with the chin comments.

Kelce may have played for the Chiefs in his hometown for the last time in his career
“Hell yeah baby, let it roll in,” Kelce said. ‘I can’t wait.’
This isn’t the first time Kelce has been criticized by his Chiefs teammates about his hair.
Earlier this year, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said Kelce grew his hair because of the influence of his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
As part of a broader answer about his team in an interview with NFL Radio before the season started, Mahomes said, “You’ve got the old man (Kelce). I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out, and suddenly Taylor gets him to do it.”
Kelce grew his hair out this year, a different style than the buzz cut he’s known for.
Speaking about the Browns game at New Heights this week, Kelce said he thinks this could be the last time he gets to play in Cleveland.
“It felt so surreal,” Kelce told his brother Jason. “I don’t know if it’s the last time I play in Cleveland, but it kind of felt like I was giving it one last hurray before I’m done, because I’ve only played there twice in 12 years.
‘It was a special day for me personally.’
