The confrontational moment a man unleashed on an Asian man and his son because they were fishing in 'Australian waters' has been caught on camera.

The man, wearing a gray hooded tracksuit with a Southern Cross motif, told the Chinese fishermen and his son that the fishing spot in the suburbs was “Australian water, not international water” and that they should “hurry up”.

A female passerby then steps in and films the altercation, leading to a fiery war of words.

“You have to leave,” she tells the hooded man. “Why are you yelling at them? They're just fishing.'

The man in the tracksuit hits back, saying, “I have family in the ADF and their country literally just destroyed an Australian ship with nuclear weapons.”

The incident the man appeared to be referring to occurred in November when Royal Australian Navy divers suffered minor injuries after a Chinese warship operated its sonar off the coast of Japan.

Richard Marles branded the Chinese destroyer's behavior as 'unsafe and unprofessional' after it turned on its sonar, despite HMAS Toowoomba warning the ship that there were divers in the water untangling fishing nets from the propellers.

The Chinese sonar pulse forced the divers out of the water and back to Toowoomba, a long-range frigate.

The woman refused to back down.

“You're so embarrassing. Are you serious?' said the woman.

'Don't you have anything better to do with your day?

“It's a beautiful day and you choose to yell at these people.”

“Enjoy your beautiful day and fuck off,” he replied.

The woman then asked the man in the tracksuit if he was proud of his behavior as they continued filming.

The man insisted he had not given consent to be filmed and that this was a breach of his Australian citizenship rights.

“I'm having a conversation with this gentleman about fishing in Australia,” he said.

'This water is not international water. There are no Chinese fishing here in Australia. This is local water. Thanks mate.'

The harassed fisherman appeared to be packing his things and getting ready to leave, as the man in the hoodie says they need to talk to “dictator Xi Jinping” about the issue.

“Because my family shot them with sonar weapons in international waters,” he said, making hand gestures and speaking in slow, broken English. 'So this water. Australian water. You stay away.

'I see Chinese fishing in the local pond, in a suburb. Not good.'

Many Aussies praised the woman for speaking out.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has been contacted for comment.
