Horror as two women are mauled by pair of dogs in a Perth park before one is rescued by an Uber driver

A woman who was attacked by two large dogs in broad daylight in a terrifying attack has told how she feared for her life during the horrific incident.

Helen Mato was at John Moloney Park in Marangaroo, north of Perth, on Tuesday morning when the dogs approached her off-leash.

Mrs. Mato feared for her life as she tried to escape the brute force of the dogs.

She is believed to be one of at least two women attacked by dogs in the park.

“One landed on my leg and another one grabbed my groin. I fell and I was screaming for help, screaming and this car just drove right past me,” Ms Mato said 7 News.

The driver behind the wheel was an Uber driver, and when he realized what was happening, he immediately pulled over.

The driver rushed to Mrs. Mato’s aid and helped the mother into the car, but the dogs continued to chase her.

“They attacked the Uber driver’s car, but I don’t know where they went after that,” Mato said.

Mrs Mato has been left physically and mentally scarred by the ordeal.

Residents who were home at the time heard terrifying sounds of someone screaming and shouting while the dogs barked.

“It just sounded really bad,” Jennie recalls.

The latest incident came after a woman in her 20s was rushed to the Joondalup Health Campus following another attack in the same park.

The woman was bitten several times and is currently in stable condition.

The dogs are still at large, raising fears among the community that they will attack again.
