Horror stab in broad daylight in the middle of Sydney’s CBD

In the middle of Sydney’s CBD, a man has been violently stabbed in broad daylight.
Emergency services rushed to Rawson Place in Haymarket just after 9am on Friday after reports that a man had been stabbed.
The 55-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics, while a 32-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.
The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital with stab wounds to his lower back, chest and shoulder in a stable but critical condition.
NSW Police confirmed that emergency services had arrived in Haymarket at around 9:20am following reports of a stabbing.

“Police were told that a 55-year-old man had been stabbed in the lower back, chest and shoulder,” a statement said.
Police administered first aid before he was treated at the scene by NSW ambulance crew.
He was later transported to hospital in a critical but stable condition.
“A 32-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Day Street police station.”
Police say there is no lasting danger to the public.
