Viewers appear to be less than impressed with The Project’s new lineup after Sam Taunton, Michael Hing, and Sarah Harris joined the show.

Sarah joined the show as a presenter along with Waleed Aly following Carrie Bickmore’s departure in October.

Comedians Sam and Michael were later revealed to be Peter Helliar’s replacements.

Peter announced that he would be leaving The Project in November, explaining that he decided to quit following the departure of his co-host Carrie.

‘Carrie, you recently said that you’re glad to be leaving The Project while you still love it and I still love the show. I really do,” she explained.

‘The Project means a lot to me. He has done amazing things for me. I once interviewed Luke Skywalker… and I look forward to seeing what the show will be in the future.

Lisa Wilkinson also announced that she would be leaving The Project with immediate effect in November.

The embattled TV host made the startling admission at the end of one episode, leaving viewers stunned.

“I’ve decided it’s time to re-prioritize some things in my life,” the TV veteran began alongside co-hosts Hamish Macdonald and Laura Byrne of The Bachelor.

“And after nearly 15 years of breakfast TV early warning, and now another five years here at The Project’s desk, I’m looking at how I want the next few years to play out both professionally and personally.”
