A woman has described her horrific sexual assault ordeal after being groped and beaten by a ‘gang of seven Syrians’ in a German park.

The 21-year-old woman said she was sitting on a lawn in an allotment park in Chemnitz, in the eastern German state of Saxony, when seven young men approached her at around 6:10 p.m. on Saturday and threw insults at her.

They reportedly began punching her in the face before inappropriately touching her under her skirt and attempting to drag her into a dead end road.

“I was afraid of being raped,” the blonde woman told the German newspaper Image.

A 30-year-old gardener said she and her 22-year-old boyfriend heard the woman scream: “Help, leave me alone. Just go away.” They rushed to her aid, but the 22-year-old was also beaten by the gang before fleeing the scene.

The victim and her rescuer suffered minor injuries.

Police later arrested five of the seven alleged attackers, aged 15, 16, 17, 19 and 23, but only the two youngest (one of whom is pictured above) appeared in court on Sunday.
