A gender reveal party turned deadly after a small plane swooped and killed the pilot in front of cheering guests – unaware of the tragedy unfolding above their heads.
The happy couple celebrated their pregnancy with family and friends in Sinaloa, Mexico, renting a small plane to fly by and dump pink or blue colored powder to indicate the gender of their baby.
As the plane approached the mom-to-be and dad, who were standing next to an “Oh baby” sign, pink smoke billowed from the fuselage – indicating they were going to have a daughter.
Shudders and cheers of joy erupted as the lovelorn couple kissed under the pink residue on Sept. 2.
But at the same time, the Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee plane suddenly skyrocketed and flipped on its side as one of its wings collapsed in midair.

The plane continued to spiral out of control, past the palm trees in the backdrop of the couple’s idyllic moment in San Pedro, Sinaloa.
Before becoming aware of the tragedy that had taken place, the couple kept hugging each other as relatives congratulated them.
Luis Angel N, 32, was the pilot and the only person on the small plane, local media reports. He was found lying in the rubble after the crash.
He was rushed to hospital where he sadly passed away, the newspaper said Aviation safety network.
Video footage of the moment has gone viral on social media – and an image of what is believed to be the mutilated plane showed the extent of the damage.
This isn’t the first time an elaborate gender reveal party has turned deadly.

In October 2019, a grandmother in rural Iowa was murdered at a gender reveal party after she was hit by shrapnel from a homemade pipe bomb her family built to blast the colored powder.
Pamela Kreimeyer, 56, died after the explosion sent debris flying toward her home in Iowa. She was hit in the head by a piece of metal 40 feet away and died instantly.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the family was “experimenting with different types of explosive material.” Police said the family hoped to post the revelation on social media for loved ones.
It is clear that the family placed gunpowder in the bottom of a homemade stand welded to a metal base plate.
After a hole was drilled in the side for a fuse, a piece of wood was placed on top of the gunpowder and colored powder was placed on the board.
Tape was then wrapped over the top of the metal pipe, inadvertently creating a pipe bomb.
