The lifeless body of a man has been found on a major highway in NSW, near the Queensland border.
The body was found on the M1 Pacific Motorway near Tweed Valley Way in Chinderah at around 5.30am on Monday.
“The man has yet to be formally identified,” NSW Police said.
All southbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Mwy are closed and motorists must divert via Tweed Valley Way.
“Please allow additional travel time in the area,” LiveTraffic NSW said.

Chinderah is located 10 km south of Coolangatta in Queensland.
