A United Airlines flight to Boston was diverted mid-flight due to a “biological hazard” among the crew.
United Airlines Flight 2477 departed Houston at 9:39 a.m. CT on Sunday bound for Boston but was forced to re-route when the crew became ill.
The plane, a Boeing 737-800, was diverted to Washington Dulles International Airport and landed at 1:36 p.m. ET, according to Flight aware.
“Especially because this is a biohazard, I think we need to get this plane on the ground as quickly as possible,” a doctor on board told air traffic control in an audio file shared on X.

‘The crew is vomiting and passengers are asking for masks and such.’
“I’ve spoken to the crew and it seems like it’s pretty bad out there.”
It is unclear what caused the biohazard and whether anyone received medical attention after landing. DailyMail.com has contacted United Airlines for comment.

On July 9, a passenger bit a piece of cloth from a United Airlines flight attendant’s shirt and told an “old lady” to “go back to Russia” as she collapsed in the middle of a fight.
The woman was on United Airlines Flight 762 from Miami to Newark, but had barely left the runway when she became unruly over a minor toilet dispute.
Another passenger captured video footage showing the crew tying her wrists with cable ties and her struggling with three of them.
Suddenly she bit into one of their shoulders, tearing off a piece of cloth and dropping it on the ground in front of the shocked plane.
“Don’t touch me anymore… let go of me, I’m a f**king girl, are you trying to kill me?” she screamed afterwards.
The video cuts to the woman, now standing in the aisle with her hands tied behind her back, yelling at everyone not to fly United.

Everyone on the plane clapped as she was thrown out after the flight was diverted to Orlando and the woman was led out of the airport by police
“These people have an attitude problem and they’re not f**king doing their job. They give me the cuffs. Why do you give me the cuffs?” she screamed.
‘Why b***h? Why the f**k do you care? Why, why, why?’
A passenger told her to stop screaming and she said, “Go back to Russia, old lady.” He then let loose a torrent of curses and said, “I’ll fucking kill you, bitch.”
On the audio recording from the plane, the woman can be heard screaming: “You’re a disgrace, you piece of shit, I wish I could spit on you right now.”
“Don’t do that, don’t do that,” a male flight attendant warned her. “You’re insulting everyone on this plane.”

In April, a United Airlines flight had to be diverted after a dog defecated in the aisle of first class.
The chaotic incident was captured by Reddit user gig_wizard, who said he was on Flight 422 from Houston to Seattle on Friday, April 7, when the incident occurred.
“Dog had a nasty accident in the aisle of first class,” the passenger wrote next to the photo.
A United Airlines flight had to be diverted after a dog relieved itself in the aisle of the plane – just outside the first class toilet, a spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail
The Reddit user said the flight was diverted to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where ground crews spent more than two hours cleaning the carpet with paper towels. They noted that the smell made them feel sick.
“Gate staff continued to shout at passengers and cabin crew,” they continued.
“The smell never completely went away.”
The cleaning process, which lasted several hours, was ultimately unsuccessful after the first class toilet was declared unusable.
“The dog poop apparently hadn’t been cleaned up,” the passenger wrote. “The food had spoiled by the time it hit the floor, so there were very few snacks left.”
United Airlines confirmed in an email to DailyMail.com that the incident had occurred, but would not share further details.
