Horror as girl, 13, dies days after being found unconscious in popular Orlando theme park pool

A 13-year-old girl has died days after being found unconscious at an amusement park in Orlando, Florida.

Teenager Anna Beaumont was found unconscious in Discovery Cove around 11:25 a.m. Tuesday after Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies rushed to the theme park, a sister park to SeaWorld.

Beaumont was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and two days later officials said she was pronounced dead.

In a statement, the medical examiner said the “manner of death has been determined to be an accident resulting in drowning.” No further details have been released.

In response to the incident, Discovery Cove WKMG: ‘Our staff responded yesterday to an emergency involving a guest. Our team provided care and contacted Orange County Fire & Rescue.”

‘When emergency services arrived, they took over care and took the guest to a nearby hospital. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we do not provide health information. Our thoughts are with this family.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the tragedy.

The all-inclusive day resort, SeaWorld Orlando’s sister park, offers guests experiences such as swimming with dolphins and snorkeling with tropical fish, according to its website.
