A 14-month-old girl died after getting caught in the straps of a bag hanging from a door, her parents have revealed.
Mia Macphee, from Alness, northern Scotland, died in the tragic accident last month and her parents have warned others about the dangers of hanging things on doors with children around.
Her parents Connor and Hannah had only been gone for a few minutes when their daughter, who was usually loud, went quiet.
Connor went to look and found Mia tangled in a small handbag-style backpack with thin straps hanging from the door.
As he untied her, Connor yelled for his partner, who took Mia to the kitchen floor and performed CPR, while the father called an ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

Baby Mia had been deprived of oxygen and it took 30 to 45 minutes for her heart to start beating again.
The year-old was taken to hospital in Edinburgh, where his family spent nearly four days with her before she died.
Ms Macphee told the Press and Journal: ‘Connor and I were in bed with her. I had my hand on her chest and felt her slip away. Her heart stopped beating.

The bubbly baby was rushed to the hospital, where she tragically passed away four days later
“We fell asleep with her between us. That was the last real time we had with our little girl.’
She added, “Mia was bubbly, sassy, and a daddy’s girl in every inch. We could never have predicted that we would lose her. We thought we still had years.
“We pay tribute to her for being amazing, but also so that this doesn’t happen to any other family.
“We can’t stress this enough to anyone reading this: We haven’t even thought about a bag hanging on a door. But you have to think about everyday things like that.’
