Horrifying update in hunt for missing tycoon’s wife nine days after she vanished screaming from mansion

During the frantic hunt for the wife of a missing tycoon, Texas police begin searching a landfill.

Bexar County sheriff’s deputies were seen searching a landfill near San Antonio on Monday in search of Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51.

They have yet to find any trace of Simpson, who disappeared screaming from her $1.4 million mansion in the city’s posh Olmos Park area at 11pm last Sunday.

Her wealthy husband Brad Simpson, 53, has been arrested and detained over the disappearance. Brad does not cooperate with the police and is held on a $2 million bond.

Simpson’s neighbor heard shouting from a nearby wooded area shortly after seeing the couple – in the middle of a heated argument – walking towards the bushes.

Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, disappeared from her million-dollar home around 11pm last Sunday evening following an alleged dispute with her wealthy husband, 53-year-old Brad Simpson.

Officers arrived at the landfill on Monday afternoon and promised to return on Tuesday.

They said they were looking for evidence linked to Suzanne, whose mother said Monday she fears her daughter is dead.

In the affidavit for Simpson’s arrest warrant, seen by DailyMail.com, it was revealed that Simpson called his brother Barton after Suzanne disappeared and “apologized for any trouble he had caused.”

The affidavit also revealed that the couple’s youngest child told staff at school “that her mother and father were ‘fighting.’

She told staff that “her father punched her mother in the face and possibly pushed her against a wall… her mother had a bruise on her elbow and her father took her mother’s cell phone.”

The mother of missing mother-of-four Barbara Clark this week revealed the terrifying phone call she had with Suzanne just an hour before she was last seen.

At a vigil in Suzanne’s honor at the Lourdes Grotto, Clark said, “She called me and told me what Brad had physically done to her.”

Clark said Suzanne confided in her that Simpson had injured her arm and her back that evening, October 6, around 9 p.m.

‘I came up with an alternative plan for her, namely that she would move in with me and send her toddler to the primary school in my neighborhood.

“I never got to tell her the plan.”

Simpson is now in custody, charged with domestic violence and unlawful restraint. He is being held on a $2 million bond and will attend a bond hearing Tuesday.

While loved ones still hope Suzanne is safe, Clark said she fears her daughter has been murdered.

When asked if she believes Suzanne is still alive, Clark responded KSAT: ‘I don’t think she is. I haven’t heard from her.’

‘Suzanne, we love you. We need you. And we pray for you.”

Clark said she would like to visit Simpson behind bars “and ask him why,” she said. ‘What happened?’

Simpson, of Olmos Park near San Antonio, initially cooperated with police after reporting his wife missing, but later remained silent and hired a lawyer.

On Friday, police released a terrifying photo of Suzanne earlier the day she disappeared, showing her walking through The Argyle in Alamo Heights.

Suzanne was pictured alone in the exclusive members-only club, wearing a dark knee-length dress and with her hair falling past her shoulders.

Just hours after this photo was taken, neighbors claim they heard an aggressive fight between Suzanne and her husband.

That neighbor claims he saw Simpson punch and restrain his wife before they both wandered off into a nearby wooded area.

Shortly after that conversation, the neighbor claims he heard screams coming from the woods.

Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas has since confirmed: β€œThat night we believe she was in distress.”

‘However, it is very suspicious that she is clearly not going to work and that she is not looking after her children. That’s a clear problem.’
