Horrifying new Charles Manson bombshell revealed in newly-unearthed prison call
A new docuseries has revealed gruesome details about the murderous life of infamous serial killer Charles Manson before he unleashed his terror on the state of California.
Peacock’s three-part series ‘Making Manson’ relives the criminal’s life in his own words through twenty years of phone calls he made to a friend.
Manson, who died in 2017, infamously led the “Mansion Family” cult in the late 1960s and early 1970s, during which at least nine people were murdered, including actress Sharon Tate.
An audio recording from the series has shockingly revealed that Manson “became involved in a few murders” while living in Mexico in the 1960s.

“You see, there’s a whole part of my life that no one knows about. I lived in Mexico for a while. I went to Acapulco and stole some cars,” Manson is heard saying during a phone call, in a short clip posted by Peacock.
“I just got involved in things that were way over my head, man. I was involved in a few murders. I left my .357 Magnum in Mexico City, and I left some dead people on the beach.”
The series focuses on Manson’s life before he founded the ‘family’, whose members were mainly young women.
Phil Kaufman, a former cellmate, described his experiences with Manson.
“Charlie was very good at being evil and not showing it,” he said. “Anything that distracted him from his game plan at that moment, he crushed it, but he did it with kid gloves,” he said.

Former associates of Manson and members of the “family” said they placed little stock in his criminal record – which included arrests for rape and robbery – before the sensational murders of Tate and others.
“I was told he escaped from prison or whatever – I never knew the details, and that didn’t mean much in the 1960s,” said music producer Gregg Jakobson. ‘But if we knew he had killed someone, that would be different. But he had just gotten out of prison, that’s all we knew.’
Dianne Lake, a former “family member,” added, “I knew he had been in jail for taking a girl across the state line. It seemed minimal at the time.”
The infamous crazy-eyed killer from Cincinnati languished in prison after his 1971 conviction for conspiracy to commit murder.

“Maybe I should have killed five hundred people, then I would have felt like I was really offering something to society,” he said after being sent away.
After serving ten years behind bars for check forgery in the 1960s, Manson is said to have begged authorities not to release him because he considered prison home.
While behind bars, he became obsessed with music – believing that his musical talents would bring him fame and a following.
He was eventually released in San Francisco and began to gain followers, mostly women, who believed he was Jesus Christ.
After serving a 10-year prison sentence for check forgery in the 1960s, Manson reportedly begged authorities not to release him because he considered prison a home environment.
The “family” eventually set up a commune-like base where Manson manipulated the group with drugs and oversaw orgies.
By the summer of 1969, Manson had failed to sell his songs and the rejection set him on a murderous path.
The public first heard of Manson when actress Sharon Tate, 26, was brutally murdered at her home.
She was eight months pregnant with husband Roman Polanski’s child when she was stabbed to death, with an X cut into her stomach and one of her breasts cut off.
In addition to Tate’s murder, Manson ordered his “family” to kill six other victims.
Manson was eventually revealed as the mastermind.
He was given the death penalty, but it was changed to nine consecutive life sentences after California abolished the death penalty.
