The woman screamed in pain as her hair became tangled in the massive structure and the festival goer was unable to move an inch.
Festival staff in northern India rushed to stop the Ferris wheel. Two staff members and another man made the dangerous climb of more than 25 feet to reach the woman.
They were seen balancing on the metal frame trying to saw through her hair with a knife while another man stood in the compartment holding the woman’s head.

The incident, which could have been fatal, took place in the Indian city of Dwarka during the Shireshwar Carnival in the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat.
The panicked woman was left trapped and unable to move an inch after her hair became stuck in part of the Ferris wheel above her head.

The woman was eventually released after her rescuers managed to untangle her hair. Locals said they managed to cut her hair with a knife.

‘The lady was writhing in pain. Who will be held responsible for this unfortunate incident,” said Pramod Kumar, who watched the chaotic scenes unfold Sun.
“I hope that we learn from these incidents and that such incidents will not occur again in the near future.”

The girl tried to take a selfie next to the Ferris wheel before her hair got tangled during the ride outside a college in Baraut, a small town just over 40 miles north of Delhi.
Her hair became tangled in the large spinning wheel and was slowly pulled out completely.
