Video shows the moment a 13-year-old girl was brutally beaten in an LA McDonald’s and left with a swollen and bruised face.
The incident took place on September 6 in LA’s Harbor City neighborhood and occurred when Kassidy Jones and her friends came over for dinner after school.
To talk with FOX LA Eyes bruised, Kassidy said a woman cornered her and her friends, hurling threatening words before attacking her inside the restaurant.
‘What are you all looking at? I fight children. I’m fighting you,” Kassidy recalled, recounting what the woman said to her moments before the beating.
Video shows the woman throwing punches and hitting the young girl as she tries to fight back until a man finally intervenes and stops the attack.
No arrests have been made in the incident since September 14.
Kassidy Jones, 13, was attacked at a McDonald’s in the Los Angeles area on September 6
Shocking video showed the attack in which an unknown woman pulled the teenage girl by her hair and punched her repeatedly in the face
During the interview, the young girl had to be comforted by her mother as she sat there sobbing as she remembered the attack.
The video shows an older woman throwing Kassidy around the restaurant like a rag doll as several other people watch.
The woman yanks the teen’s hair as Kassidy tries in vain to push his way out of the woman’s grasp.
“I was focused on protecting myself because I knew the moment I put my hands down was the moment I would probably be beaten to death,” Kassidy said.
The two ended up on the ground with the woman pinning the young girl with her leg and whales on her as the crowd gathered.
“I’m shocked because I didn’t do anything, I don’t know you,” Kassidy said.
“You’re coming at me very aggressively for no reason,” she continued.
In the video, several people can be seen recording the attack.
With the exception of one man who appeared to be with the suspect, no one intervened or attempted to pull the adult woman from the child.
The woman who attacked Kassidy eventually grabbed her meal and left the restaurant.
Kassidy said she and her friends did not know the woman and could not provide a reason for the attack.

The young girl called her mother, Angelina Gray, from the restaurant, causing the mother to panic.
“When she called me, she was screaming and yelling and I was standing there, oh my God, I don’t know what to do,” Gray said.
The girl was rushed to hospital by her mother, who said she was shocked that someone would do this to a child.
“I just couldn’t believe that another human being would do this,” Gray said. ‘You just don’t do this. I mean, this is a 13-year-old.”
Others online agreed with the mother, saying they couldn’t believe customers at the restaurant didn’t try to help the girl who was clearly in distress.
“I’m not only angry about the woman who hit her, but also about the bystanders.”
‘People think it’s more important to post a video on Instagram and YouTube than to help a 13-year-old girl. SO ANGRY AND DISGUSTING!’
“I think it’s sad that the young girl is being attacked. Hopefully she heals quickly! What worries me is why all the kids made videos instead of helping her? Kudos to the guy who stepped in to help.”
“I just couldn’t believe that another human being would do this,” said Angelina Gray, Kassidy’s mother. ‘You just don’t do this. I mean, this is a 13 year old’
No arrests have been made in the case since September 14.
“Personally (I think) she needs to go to jail,” Kassidy said through tears.
