Horrifying moment tattoo artist Splot G, 45, loses control of speeding car and crashes into tree in Mexico
Disturbing video footage captured the moment a car crashed into a tree in central Mexico and split in half, killing the driver.
A car could be seen driving on the opposite side of the road and a passenger van on the other side, several meters in front of the victim, a 45-year-old man, who then lost control of his vehicle in the municipality of Mexico. Atazipán de Zaragoza on Christmas morning.
Preliminary police reports indicated that the victim, a tattoo artist known as Splot G, was speeding and under the influence of alcohol.
Street surveillance video showed the Ford Focus breaking in half as it plowed into the lower part of the tree.

A surveillance camera captured the moment before tattoo artist Splot G smashed his Ford Focus into a tree on a road in the central Mexican city of Atazipán de Zaragoza on Monday.
The lower half of Splot G's Ford Focus was found lying at the foot of a driveway
The top half of the car was left near the tree, which remained standing as several branches fell to the ground.
The car's engine was seen falling out of the vehicle and sliding across the road.
The lower half of the vehicle was found on top of the base of an exit ramp, where Splot G's body lay on the sidewalk.
The crash is being investigated by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico.

Police reports indicated that the driver was under the influence of liquor and speeding just before the fatal accident
Fellow tattoo artist Gio Garcia mourned Splot G's tragic death via an Instagram Story post.
“Amazing art today and a great tattoo on the left, great guy,” García captioned the photo. “It was an honor to meet you and interact with you.
'A hug towards heaven. Rest in peace my good friend @splotjhf.”
In a separate Christmas accident, a 17-year-old girl was killed and an 18-year-old man seriously injured after they crashed their motorcycle in the town of Tlalnepantla.
