Shocking footage has emerged of a ‘sadistic’ grandma trying to kill her kitten with a rock after trapping it in a bin
Pamela Mattinson, 48, – who evaded prison for the “despicable” attack – was filmed throwing the heavy block into her neighbors bin at least four times as she tried to kill the terrified creature.
And after each hair-raising impact, Mattinson, dressed all in pink, was captured staring intently into the bin to examine the screeching cat’s condition.
She was initially confronted by a neighbor before fleeing the scene and arrested after picking up the cat and making her way to a vet.
Mattinson, who admitted to drinking vodka prior to the incident, later claimed she was trying to “put it out of its misery” after accidentally injuring it.
But thankfully, the cat later made a full recovery and pleaded guilty to causing needless suffering and using threatening behavior at Bolton Crown Court.

Judge Nicholas Clarke labeled her actions a “despicable crime” when she sentenced her to eight months in prison, two years suspended, and 180 hours of unpaid work.
He said: “Unfortunately, in my role as a judge, I have to deal with many cases where people are cruel or negligent towards an animal.
“In this case, as depicted in the video, you have not been cruel or negligent to an animal. You tried to kill the cat.
“The nature of the attack, as depicted in the video, was of a most despicable crime.”
Mattinson, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, launched the vicious attack on the poor animal on March 2 this year.
Edmund Potts, Prosecutor said: ‘(The neighbor) was home when he heard a bang.
“He went to the window and saw Mrs. Mattinson in his backyard. Mrs. Mattinson picked up a rock and threw it in the bin.’
Mattinson later threatened to break through the neighbors window when he confronted her about the sickening incident.
Mattinson was jailed for eight months, suspended for two years, and banned from animals for ten years
Mattison was also ordered to perform 20 days of rehabilitation activities for the attack on the cat
And she was arrested when she took the cat to a vet for his injuries and was initially charged with animal cruelty and public order offences.
To mitigate, Colin Buckle said Mattinson struggled with her alcoholism and her mental health.
He suggested she tried to kill the cat “to put it out of its misery” after accidentally injuring it while trying to protect it from another cat.
Judge Clarke called Mattinson’s actions “sadistic,” but said he took into account the fact that she was a “vulnerable” person during his sentencing remarks.
She was also banned from keeping animals for 10 years and ordered to carry out rehabilitation activities for 20 days.
