Detroit Lions cornerback Khalil Dorsey suffered a gruesome leg injury Sunday afternoon that forced him to be carted off the field.
Dorsey was on the field when the Buffalo Bills were in the red zone and tried to score on a pass play.
While Dorsey was covering, he ran into teammate Ezekiel Turner and appeared to break his leg.
Dorsey was offline for a while — forcing the CBS broadcast to include two commercial breaks — as both sidelines emptied to gather around him.
Ultimately, he was carted off the field with his leg in the air as all of Ford Field applauded him.
The Lions have officially ruled Dorsey out for the remainder of the game due to an ankle injury.

Dorsey is a four-year NFL veteran from Northern Arizona University who went undrafted in 2020.
The 26-year-old cornerback initially signed with the Baltimore Ravens after college and played there for two seasons, highlighted by injuries.
Dorsey then signed to the New York Giants practice squad in May 2022 before being waived in August.
After spending nearly a full season out of contract, Dorsey signed a deal with the Lions in December 2022.
Last season, Dorsey was placed on reserve in September after being diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis – a condition in which damaged skeletal muscles break down rapidly, often as a result of intense training over a short period of time.
So far this season, Dorsey has played in thirteen games and registered a total of thirteen tackles (eight of which were solo tackles) and two passes defended. He also contributed offensively, catching one pass for 31 yards.
