The horrors took place on Monday in La Vall d’Uixó, northeast of Valencia, during a traditional bull running event.
A medical team on site and two doctors who were present as spectators provided first aid to the man.
He was conscious when he was taken to a hospital in nearby Villarreal and will undergo surgery there, local media reported.
