Horrifying moment actor stabs estranged wife 28 times before turning knife on himself

The moment a small-time actor from Argentina stabbed his estranged wife 28 times before turning the gun on himself was captured on gruesome CCTV footage.

Sergio Sarria, 41, broke into the Big Pizza pizzeria last week – the place where 45-year-old Débora, his ex-wife, works with her new partner – near Núñez, Buenos Aires, before the Er found a frenzied knife attack, which left Débora with 28 brutal stab wounds.

“He wanted to kill me like an animal,” she said. ‘All the stab wounds I have are in my ribs, neck, face and one eye. It was terrible, terrifying. I have a big gash on my elbow because he cut me with that knife.”

The heartbreaking video footage showed Sarria jumping over the barrier leading to the kitchen and lunging at Débora – who was behind the counter at the time – with a large knife in hand.

A struggle quickly ensued after Débora was aggressively grabbed and stabbed repeatedly before falling to the ground and trying to shield her face from the attack.

Débora’s current partner was captured along with another colleague as they tried to stop the violent encounter by throwing things at him to intervene, while Sarria continued to crazily stab his ex-wife as she crouched on the ground.

Débora, who described her ex-husband as regularly abusive during their previous 23-year marriage, was able to get up and flee the store while Sarria took off his jacket and stabbed himself in the neck several times when police arrived.

“Miraculously, he didn’t manage to kill me,” said Débora, who has since been released from hospital. “I think a lot of that is due to the help I got because they tried to hit him, to get him off me, but he was furious.”

Sarria is under arrest but remains in hospital following his alleged suicide attempt.
