A woman and toddler were in shock after a white sedan collided head-on with their vehicle, with their dashcam capturing a crying child after the horror collision.
The terrifying incident took place on a narrow highway near Weir Views in southwestern Victoria last month.
Dramatic dashcam footage showed the car sailing down a rural road before a black car was held in front of them by an oncoming vehicle that had strayed to the wrong side of the road.

As a result of the impact, the ute collided with a roadside guardrail, while the sedan continued on the wrong side of the road and drove head-on into the car with the dashcam.
Seconds after the nasty blow, a child was heard screaming for ‘mama’, while the woman moaned from the impact.

“This is why flexible wire barriers separating traffic save lives,” said one commenter. “Wire barriers save so many lives where two-thirds of road accidents happen in Australia, regional roads like this one.”

‘So you want crash barriers in the middle of every road? Including narrow sections like this where they would often be damaged by trucks?’ another fired back at the suggestion.
“That’s quite confronting visually and aurally,” another added over the crying the toddler heard.
“Not sure why the driver went the wrong way, distracted, fell asleep, medical episode?” asked another.
Victoria police told Daily Mail Australia that officers are investigating the three-car collision, which took place on Greigs Road, Weir Views, at about 4.15pm on 21 October.

“Detectives claimed that a car crossed the wrong side of the road and collided with another car before colliding with another vehicle,” a spokeswoman said.
The driver of the first car, a 44-year-old man from Truganina, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one was injured in the second vehicle, while a woman and child in the third vehicle were taken to hospital for observation.
“The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.”
