The disturbing video showed the dog lunging at the innocent Instacart employee, pushing her to the ground as the owner tried to control the dog by throwing herself on top of it.
Riveros returned to her car where she called the police with bloodied and shaking hands as she screamed ‘help me’ into the phone.
She was rushed to the hospital for surgery where she was given more than 30 stitches for the injuries.
The Instacart employee won’t be able to return to work for several weeks, leaving her without an income and unable to make money before an unrelated life-or-death surgery.
Riveros said: ‘Lock up your dogs because we are the ones who are going to be affected, you never know how a dog is going to react with certain people.’
