Horrific crash in Balgowlah, Sydney, kills two people
Two people have died after a car crashed into a tree and burst into flames.
The horrific accident happened on the Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation in Balgowlah shortly before 11pm on Wednesday.
According to police, the black Toyota Corolla crashed into a tree and then caught fire.
A 23-year-old man and the passenger, a 26-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Officers from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene which was later examined by specialist police.
An investigation has been launched to determine whether speed was a factor.
A report is being prepared for the information of the coroner.
