A major crime scene has been established after a woman was found unconscious in a home where a man was behaving erratically.
Officers were called in around 1.15pm on Tuesday to respond to a disturbance on Grevillea Crescent at Hoppers Crossing in Melbourne’s west.
After arriving at the address, the police arrested the man and searched the house in which he was found.
During a search of the house, the police found the woman inside.
The woman, whose identity is still unknown, died at the scene.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad are among the officers who responded to the incident.
Ambulance personnel were not needed at the scene, according to some spoke to 9News.
Crime scenes have been taped up on both sides of the street and several emergency vehicles, including a police van, are already on the scene.
