Honkai: Star Rail Penacony treasure chest locations and map

Penaconia is the third area you visit Honkai: Star Railand with that comes new Darling And puzzles complete on the new planet. With over 100 new things to find, it can be a lot to sort out at once.

Many places in Penacony aren’t unlocked until you complete a certain part of the main Trailblaze missions or complete certain puzzles. Therefore, we recommend that you hunt for all the treasures once you complete the story.

Most maps have loot hidden on them, and this loot expands beyond just treasure chests. When you open the card you will notice it a chest icon in the top left corner with numbers next to it. This indicates how many of the different types of loot you have found. However, this counter only displays treasure that isn’t locked behind puzzles or formidable enemies (the powerful monsters guarding chests) and Warp Trotters.

Please note that our maps are based on beta content, so things may be different in the live version. We’re also missing a handful of chests that may be locked behind content we didn’t reach in the beta. We will update this guide as soon as possible if there are any specific changes.

How Penacony Treasure Chests Work

Opening chests and solving puzzles around Penacony will reward you Clock credits, which you can turn in to level up the Clockie statue in the middle of Golden Hour. Taking the statue nets to the next level will reward you like Stellar Jade and other goodies.

There are many new puzzle types in Penacony, including block-sliding mirror puzzles and literal puzzles (where you have to match pieces to create a picture). Most notably, a new type of collectible has been found under the treasure chest when looking at cards: “Wonderful garbage cans.” These trash cans ask you a question and if you answer correctly, you get a reward. If you answer wrong, they’ll engage you in battle – and you’ll still get the same reward afterwards, so don’t worry about getting it wrong.

Penacony also has quite a few maps where you walk on walls and the map is there 3D. While it is obviously difficult for us to convey information about where to find each chest, Warp Trotter, or Lordly Trashcan in these rooms, we have done our best to indicate where the chests are located using circles to indicate indicate on which platform the object is located.

We were only able to find 24 of the 29 treasure chests, even when Topaz and Numby were sniffing them out. It’s possible we’ve missed some or a room has been closed off by a quest or future content, but we’ll update this guide as we find the rest.
