Home fit for a Princess! Luxurious three-bedroom property in Toronto where Meghan Markle won over Prince Harry’s heart goes on sale for £1.1 million

The Toronto home where Meghan Markle lived when she captured Prince Harry’s heart is up for sale for the second time.

Before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan rented the three-bedroom Toronto home where she hosted the royals during their long-distance relationship for at least two years.

Harry reportedly traveled to Toronto twice a month to visit Meghan while she was filming the legal drama Suits.

It was also home to Meghan’s two beloved dogs, Bogart and Guy. Their kennel and puppy play area, complete with sandpit, were located outside in the garden, where she enjoyed hosting barbecues for friends in the summer.

The detached property, which brought back fond memories for Prince Harry, is described as ‘elegant’ and of high-quality finish, and has recently been renovated.

It previously sold for $1.6 million (£900,000) in 2018, the year after Meghan moved to London. It is now for sale for $1.9 million (£1.1 million)

The front door is painted “Tiffany” blue, according to the listing, and the property features two “spa-inspired” bathrooms.

The house features a double garage (and a Tesla charger) and is in a location “popular with families, academics and celebrities” for its proximity to “excellent schools”, five supermarkets and even an ice rink.

“Don’t miss this rare opportunity!” the ad read.

The former actress has clearly climbed the wealth ladder since marrying a member of the royal family.

The £19.5million Tuscan mansion she shares in Montecito, California, with Prince Harry and their two children has seven bedrooms, 13.5 bathrooms, a cinema, gym, swimming pool and chicken coop.

The couple’s living room features a grand piano owned by actor-director Tyler Perry, whose Beverly Hills mansion they first stayed in after moving from Canada.

In an interview with The Cut, the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex opened up about how her Southern California home makes her feel “free” and “calm and healing.”

The magazine revealed features of the estate, including the two interconnected palm trees in the garden – which Prince Harry calls himself and Meghan.

Even Archie calls the plants ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ when he walks past them.

According to the magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex even share an office with “two luxurious club chairs side by side behind a desk, looking out into the room like thrones.”

Candles from Soho Houses are placed throughout the mansion.

Meghan and Harry are said to have had a blind date at the Dean Street Townhouse in Soho House.

Allison P. Davis wrote for Cut Magazine: “The house in Montecito is the kind of home that makes you jump and reminds you that unimaginable wealth is really a person’s everyday reality.”

The article’s author compared it to a classic Tuscan villa, a vineyard in Napa, and a country club in Beverly Hills.

The Sussexes have returned to their Montecito mansion after completing their apparent royal tour of Colombia.

During the four-day trip, the couple entertained their fans by speaking Spanish, playing the bongos and caressing each other during a steamy salsa dance.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were welcomed by Colombian Vice President Francia Marquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo.
