Despite selling Halloween-themed products since 2013, Home Depot reached new heights online after the release of its 12-foot-tall skeleton in 2020.
“For Skelly, we knew from the moment we tasted it that we had created one of the best Halloween items ever,” said Lance Allen, Senior Merchant of Decorative Holiday, in a 2023 press release.
It was only a matter of time for Home Depot to add a 7-foot Skelly Dog to its Halloween collection, describing it online as the “perfect best friend” for the 10-foot Skelly.
Like the viral Skelly, Home Depot’s 7-foot Skelly’s Dog comes with eight different LCD backlit eye settings that the customer can choose from with a remote control.
However, unlike the 3.5 meter long skeleton, it only takes one person about 30 minutes to set up.
The product’s popularity has continued to increase since its initial release and is now offered on more than one resale website, including eBay.
Shoppers who want to buy it on eBay instead can do so if they want to spend somewhere in between $240 and $600.
