Home and Away star Emily Symons has paid a moving tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

The 53-year-old shared the moment she met the late monarch during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee tour of Britain in 2002.

Emily posted a throwback photo of the occasion on her Instagram, saying it was a day she will never forget.

All three starred alongside the Australian favorite when Emily appeared on the long-running British soap Emmerdale between 2001-2008.

Emily wrote in the caption that she saw the Queen’s funeral on television with her son Henry.

“A day I will never forget,” Emily said of meeting the Queen

During parting, the six-year-old asked if his soap star mother had ever met the sovereign.

“It was such an honor to meet her with my dear friends from Emmerdale,” Emily reminisced in her Instagram Stories.

‘I will never forget this day and her beautiful smile. Valiant Queen Elizabeth.’
