Home and Away star Emily Symons has paid a moving tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
The 53-year-old shared the moment she met the late monarch during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee tour of Britain in 2002.
Emily posted a throwback photo of the occasion on her Instagram, saying it was a day she will never forget.

Emily, dressed in an elegant black outfit, can be seen in the photo shaking hands with a smiling Queen Elizabeth II.
Posing with Emily in the picture are Mark Charnock, Elizabeth Estensen and Sheree Murphy.
All three starred alongside the Australian favorite when Emily appeared on the long-running British soap Emmerdale between 2001-2008.
Emily wrote in the caption that she saw the Queen’s funeral on television with her son Henry.

During parting, the six-year-old asked if his soap star mother had ever met the sovereign.
“It was such an honor to meet her with my dear friends from Emmerdale,” Emily reminisced in her Instagram Stories.
‘I will never forget this day and her beautiful smile. Valiant Queen Elizabeth.’

The timeless beauty first rose to fame as the character Marilyn Chambers in Home and Away in 1989.
Emily later pursued a career in the UK, where she appeared in the hit series Emmerdale.
In 2010, the beloved actress reprized her role in Home and Away.
