“Nooooo, ours didn’t do this. The water moisture damaged the elements in mine. Almost set on fire,” someone commented.

“You should definitely read your manual first, it may not work for all brands,” Ada clarified in an answer.

‘Bit of a waste of electricity. I put boiling hot water in mine, detergent and let it sit for 30 minutes then wash it,” someone else wrote.

‘Put it in the dishwasher after every use, is that a hack? I also use foil sometimes, so cleaning is not necessary!’ said another.

“Doesn’t work,” one person complained, while another added: “Soaking in hot water and regular detergent would have the same effect.”

‘A dishwasher. Or just dish soap with warm water, soak for five hours and dry. Finished!’ said someone else.

“I was doing this and the gauze finally came loose. It started to come loose and was always stuck in the food that I threw away more often than I would like. Now that I’ve had that part replaced (I have this brand too), I wash it off in soapy water when I’m done,” someone else wrote.

Others loved the hack, with one writing: ‘Great tip!! Thank you so much for sharing!! I’m definitely going to try this one.
