Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou reveals she is bedridden with a numb leg after SNEEZING

Ada Nicodemou has revealed that she became bedridden after injuring herself while sneezing.

In an Instagram Stories post, the Home and Away star explained that she was about to hit the gym on Thursday when she sneezed and all hell broke loose.

The 45-year-old was instantly left in what she described as “excruciating pain”.

“I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t do anything, I basically had to lie on my back,” he said in the clip.

“I did something, I think I have a bulging disc and I don’t know when it will heal,” added Ada.

A bulging disc refers to when the soft center of a spinal disc pushes through the outer casing.

“I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t do anything, I basically had to lie on my back,” she said.

It can cause pain in the back, buttocks, and legs, as well as numbness, weakness, and tingling.

Treatments include anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, bed rest, and braces.

The actress explained that she spends her time in bed reading books while she recovers.

“I did something, I think I have a bulging disc and I don’t know when it will heal,” added Ada.

She wrote in a caption on Instagram: ‘I didn’t know a sneeze could do so much damage. Now I have been told that I need to rest and take it easy until it heals.

‘Can anyone suggest me some books or TV shows? Do I need suggestions so I don’t go crazy?

Ada has played the character of Leah Patterson on Home and Away since 2000.

It is unclear if his injury means he will take time off from the popular soap opera.
