Home and Away hunk Todd Lasance becomes head of NCIS: Sydney as cast of big-budget TV action series is revealed

Todd Lasance is best known as the handsome Aden Jefferies on Channel Seven’s beloved soap opera Home and Away.

And now the 38-year-old fan favorite is ready to join the cast of NCIS: Sydney, a Down Under version of the hit American TV action franchise reports TV black box.

Produced by Paramount+ and Channel 10, and currently filming in Sydney, the series will see Australian Federal Police team detectives with US NCIS investigators.

As the combined force fights crime in the Navy, they also face rising tensions in the highly contested Pacific region.

This marks the first time the NCIS franchise has launched an international version of the show after producing the hit spin-offs, NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS Hawaii and NCIS New Orleans.

British actress Olivia Swann, from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, stars alongside Lasance.

Swann, 31, plays the head of US NCIS in Sydney, while Lasance’s character is her second-in-command.

British TV actor Sean Sagar also stars as an American NCIS investigator.

Also joining the cast are Mystery Road: Origin star Tuuli Narkle and former Neighbors star Mavournee Hazel, who play AFP investigators.

Veteran Australian film and TV actor William McInnes, famous for his role in the hit ABC series SeaChange, also joins the cast as a forensic pathologist.

The series may end up beating three shows in the Law & Order franchise to become the longest-running TV show.

The current title holder is Law & Order: SVU, which has run for 23 seasons.

NCIS was a spin-off of CBS’ JAG, both of which were created by Donald P. Bellisario, that ran for 10 seasons between 1995 and 2005.
